Kansas City, Missouri's Premier All Men's Roller Derby League
Roller Derby is the most awesome sport on eight wheels. The Butchers are members of the Men's Roller Derby Association (MRDA) which plays by the current WFTDA ruleset (changing all feminine pronouns to masculine) We follow the MRDA for two reasons-- a vast majority of the derby played is now played is WFTDA based and the opportunity to travel to bout other men's teams. With men's teams based from NYC to Seattle and Minneapolis to Dallas, we rep Kansas City!

September 24th - Harvest Time!!
The boys in brown and red have some harvesting to do! Catch all the exciting Men's Roller Derby Action in the final home bout of the year for the Cowtown Butchers at River Roll Skate Center in Riverside MO!
Prices Adult - $10.00 Child 5-12 - $5.00
Tickets can be had from any Butcher, ONLINE HERE!
Doors open at 6pm. All seats are first come first served so get there early!
August 4th - COWTOWN BUTCHERS ACCEPTED INTO THE MEN'S ROLLER DERBY ASSOCIATION!!
The Cowtown Butchers are excited to be the sixteenth team to be accepted into the MRDA! The Men's Roller Derby Association allows us an umbrella organization to promote the sport of men's roller derby. We are proud to be among their ranks!

Wanna Join?
For players--you must be a guy at least 18 years old. You also have to have primary insurance to start (it's not if but when you get hurt...). While there is no skills minimum to start practicing with us, ideally you should be able to stop without using the rink wall, the rest you'll learn (but if you can't don't let that deter you!).You will need to sign a waiver before you can practice. Practice means equipment-- you can get rookie packages from several online vendors (check our links section). Please visit our Facebook page or Contact Us.

How
Building a team takes time and effort. You are always welcome to check out our practices held on Thursdays 9:00 pm to 10:15 pm at River Roll Skate Center (map). If you want to join us for practice, you will need gear (check our links section), your ID and will be required to sign a waiver.
